Mindset Shift Monday: Discovering New Things

CHANGE YOUR MINDSET ABOUT MONDAY

There are so many reasons we as a society have deemed Monday as the worst day of the week. It’s the first day back to work after the weekend. It’s the day we have to actually start getting sh*t done again. For a lot of us, it’s also the day we have to start getting back on track.

First, all these ideas of what you “have to do” or “need to do” are completely false. You can at any point just do what you want to do of course. However, I think most of us would agree that getting to where we want to be requires the most difficult first step of just starting.

I say for the next month, we start scrapping this negative association with Mondays and change it into something different – something positive.

Mondays are now our day of the week to try new things and discover something different that we enjoy.

Get started with this mindset by utilizing any of the following ideas TODAY…

  1. Try a new recipe! Use Super Cook to add ingredients you already have, and it finds different recipes you can cook at home! So convenient!
  2. Visit a nearby trail and go on a 20-30 minute walk to clear your mind. A simple Google search of “trails near me” will bring up tons of options for places you can go. Similarly, go for a walk around your neighborhood
  3. Watch a meditation video on YouTube. This is one of my favorites and it’s only 5 minutes long – anyone has time for this. Truly take a moment to relax, focus on yourself, and clear your mind.
  4. Follow along with a YouTube workout at home! There are so many quick, simple workouts you can do all in the comfort of your own home! One of my faves is this one from Whitney Simmons. Get your positive endorphins flowing!
